John, I recently read your short article What Is Business Continuity Planning, which was published in the Winter 2002 DRJ. I was impressed by the way you were able to define and describe various terms and include a sample BCP process. I, after complementing your ability to keep it short and simple, requested additional information, of a more detail nature to review to determine the scope for developing a BCP. You referred me to your "articles" web site and I was more than overwhelmed by the wide selection I had, and the various levels of detail which were presented. I particularly found the following articles simple, educational and thought provoking to the point of possible changing my initial approach to developing a BCP.

  • Business Continuity Planning Made Simple-almost
  • Tools of the trade: BCP software
  • One page, big type intro....
  • Business Continuity, Definition, Purpose and Process
  • An introduction to Business Continuity Planning
  • Four approaches to business continuity planning

Thanks again for responding quickly to my request and of course acquainting me with your web site which contains a wealth of information regarding BCP. As I said, I have a tight budget, don't we all, and need to increase our BCP Capabilities.
